You can expect a warm, funny, and direct person to be with you in our sessions together.
My personal experience as a mother drew me to perinatal mental health, which is my clinical area of expertise. I specialize in reproductive mental health and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS).
I know first-hand how motherhood is a time of transition and transformation that requires professional support.
I bring experience and expertise in birth trauma, NICU experiences, postpartum anxiety and depression, postpartum rage, intrusive thoughts, and grief and loss.
"It takes a village" is cliched, but true. I'm honored to work with new, expecting, seasoned, adoptive, and foster moms to be part of their village of support.
Counseling survivors of domestic violence is a secondary focus area of mine. For years, I've volunteered at a domestic violence organization and counseled survivors of domestic violence in clinical settings.
Trauma underpins my areas of clinical expertise. I am trauma-informed and trained in a processing modality called lifespan integration.
I earned my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University Seattle and am a fully-licensed mental health counselor in Washington State (license number LH61306791).
I studied as an undergraduate at the University of Washington. Prior to finding my calling in therapy, I spent my 20s pursuing a career in law and served as a clerk at King County District Court.
I live with my husband and two daughters in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. I see clients throughout Washington state virtually.
